Mission Statement

The Dubbo/Plains Division of General Practice supports and promotes general practice in its pivotal role of providing holistic management of health in the community.

Key Roles:

• Facilitating effective networks between GPs and between general practice, the wider health system and the community;

• Supporting GPs and general practices through education and training, capacity building within practices, workplace initiatives, advocacy and representation;

• Addressing and assisting health needs of communities including targeting chronic disease management, immunisation, mental health, Aboriginal health and aged care;

• Improving access to quality primary health care services.

Dubbo/Plains Division of General Practice is recognised as an organisation which advocates for General Practice and facilitates optimal health care in our region.
