MSOAP is funded by the Commonwealth Government and the Rural Doctors Network is responsible for the 'private' sector component of MSOAP in NSW, the Division having a funding agreement with the RDN to manage the MSOAP program.
The aim of the program is to improve access of regional, rural and remote communities to medical specialist services by supporting medical specialists to provide outreach medical services.The specialsits also support local GPs in the ongoing care of patients.
At present specialists in the following areas visit:-
Dubbo - General Physician, Cardiology, Rheumatology, Respiratory, Neurology, Dermatology & Neurosurgery.
Warren/Nyngan - Psychiatry

The aim of the program is to improve access for Indigenous patients in regional and rural communities to medical specialist services, by supporting Medical Specialists and Allied Health providers to provide outreach services within existing Indigenous Health Services.

Coonamble - Asthma Educator, Dietitian, Diabetes Educator, Exercise Physiology
Wellington - Asthma Educator, Cardiology, Dietitian, Diabetes Educator
