NPS is an independent, non-profit organisation providing medicines information and resources for consumers, health professionals, members and stakeholders involved in Quality use of Medicines.
NPS activities for health professionals
GPs, pharmacists, nurses and other health professionals can participate in free educational and quality improvement activities including case studies, clinical audits and pharmacy practice reviews on various therapeutic topics. All NPS educational and quality improvement activities qualify for continuing professional development (CPD) points or qualify as an activity for the Quality Prescribing Initiative (QPI) of the Practice Incentives Program (PIP).The NPS facilitator travels throughout the division offering one on one educational visits on current NPs topics to GPs and other health professionals. Bookings can be made through the division.
